Randy Randy, Ahmad Rais TM

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of applying the Al Muhadatsah Al-Yaumiyyah method in improving Arabic maharah kalam (speaking skills) in SMA IT Makassar Islamic School students. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were students of class X and XI SMA IT Makassar Islamic School, Arabic language teachers, and the school principal. The research results show that al-Muhadatsah al-Yaumiyyah is able to facilitate students in getting used to using Arabic in the school environment. This process of getting used to daily conversations can significantly increase students' courage, fluency and vocabulary. Full support from teachers, the school environment, and supporting programs such as Arabic language clubs are the main factors in the success of this program. This research recommends that the application of al-Muhadatsah al-Yaumiyyah be carried out consistently and structured so that Arabic language learning objectives are achieved optimally.
