Dampak Keberadaan Minimarket Terhadap Usaha Mikro Toko Kelontong dalam Perspektif Ekonomi Syariah

Abstract


This study discusses the Impact of Minimarket Presence on Traditional Grocery Stores from the perspective of Sharia economics and the efforts of grocery store owners to maintain their existence. As we are aware, minimarkets have proliferated extensively, penetrating residential areas and posing a significant challenge to traditional grocery stores due to their rapid growth in Indonesia, particularly through the franchise concept. The aim of this research is to examine the extent of the impact of minimarket presence on micro-enterprises, specifically traditional grocery stores, and the efforts they make to sustain their existence despite being located near minimarkets. This research adopts a qualitative research methodology. Once data is successfully collected from both primary and secondary sources, it will be qualitatively analysed, providing concrete descriptive explanations to address the research questions, and then drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that the presence of minimarkets has a significantly negative impact on traditional grocery stores. This can be observed from the large number of customers shifting to minimarkets, the decrease in sales turnover, and the multitude of marketing strategies employed by minimarkets that traditional store owners are unable to match
