Strategi Orang Tua dalam Menanamkan Nilai-Nilai Multikultural Pada Anak Di Desa Lamunre Tengah Kecamatan Belopa Kelurahan Luwu

Abstract


This led to a focused inquiry into the processes and efficacy of multicultural value transmission within the village. The study poses critical questions regarding the strategies parents employ to nurture multicultural values in their offspring and the factors that facilitate or impede these educational efforts in Lamunre Tengah Village, Belopa Subdistrict.

Employing a phenomenological framework, this study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach to methodologically explore the nuanced experiences of its subjects. Data were meticulously gathered through a combination of observation, interviews, and document analysis, followed by a rigorous analytical process comprising data reduction, display, and the synthesis of conclusions.

The study's findings illuminate four primary strategies deployed by parents to foster multicultural values among their children: the instillation of religious values, the provision of autonomy, the delivery of guidance and admonitions, and serving as exemplary role models. Additionally, the research delineates several impediments to the effective transmission of these values, including the diverse character traits among children, which challenge the uniform application of the teachings, and the scarcity of quality time between parents and children, attributed to parental commitments and the complexities of managing children's development. Conversely, factors conducive to the nurturing of multicultural values were identified, such as the inherent interdependence within the community, the foundational values and knowledge previously imparted to children, which equip them for future societal integration and harmony, and the potential for these youths to positively influence their future social spheres
